If you’re like me you like tools; online tools, offline tools, iPhone tools, widgets, apps, and whatevs. Actually, if you’re any type of an online business designer I’m sure you like tools. Tools are what makes our lives easier. Both professionally and personally.

Now, just so we’re on the same page … this isn’t simply yet another lame list post. The tools that follow really are my 12 favorite ones EVER. I use them every day, sometimes even multiple times a day.

gtd organizerGetting Thing Done has changed the lives of many people around the world. Maybe you’re a proud member of that group or maybe you’re not (yet). No matter what your situation is, getting to know this methodology is surely worth the time because it might be exactly what you need to improve your productivity.

(Just in case you don’t know what I’m talking about … Getting Things Done is a personal productivity methodology created by David Allen that’s taking world by storm.)

That being said, GTD is not something you’re not using one day, and then using to the max the next day. The process of getting into GTD needs to be planned, and requires a set of initial steps. One of which is getting familiar with the methodology itself – i.e. reading the book.

GTD is not just a set of loose tips and guidelines. It’s a complete system that has been developed over a number of years in many different environments, for many different people. And as a result, it can work for almost anybody, but it has a bit of a learning curve.

To put it in a sentence, information overload is a true plague nowadays.

And I really mean it. I truly think that the amount of information available on the internet these days is a bad thing. There’s a page on any topic imaginable. In fact, I would even risk saying that if you can’t find something on the internet then it most likely doesn’t exist.

OK, but why is it a bad thing? Because it’s simply paralyzing. Whenever you’re searching for something on the internet the problem isn’t that you can’t find it, the problem is that there’s too much information available, so you can’t stop searching … you know that there’s always something else waiting on the next page.

How to Calculate Productivity? My Own Simple Approach

Categories: Productivity Written by Karol K.

scoreboardIs there a way to calculate productivity? If so, then I’m the perfect person to tell you about it (not to toot my own horn here, of course). You see, it’s late night here in Poland and yet I’m still sitting here, writing this short post, and feeling productive.

To calculate productivity, using my method, you have to follow a simple 6-step productivity scoreboard.

But first, let’s set one thing straight. Before you can start tracking your points you need to learn the difference between being productive and being busy. As there are no points for being busy.
